In order to verify the valve, remove it out of the grommet of the valve cover. Shake the valve, that rattles. Turn the engine on, and remove the PCV hose, and make sure there is vacuum. Check the rubber grommet to see if it is damaged and clear a clogged hose. Install the clean PCV system hose.
