How to remove the steering gear with Rack and Pinions on 2006 Mazda 6?

In order to take off the rack and pinions, disengage the battery cable, take off the pinch bolt in the intermediate shaft, and take off the tie-rod ends. Disconnect the power steering lines, prop up the sub frame and drop it. Unfit the rack and pinions mounting bolts and then assemble the new rack and pinions taking care to align and tighten all bolts.
