How to remove and install the thermostat housing on 2010 Mazda 3?

In order to take out the thermostat housing, disconnect the negative battery and lift the vehicle on jackstands. Discharge the cooling system and relocate the coolant expansion tank. Disassemble the drivebelt(s) and find the housing of the thermostat. Unscrew the hoses, change the housing when corroded and put a new gasket. Add more to the cooling system and inspect the system.
