The first thing to do is to empty the air conditioning system of an automotive air conditioning technician. The second step is to take out the battery cover and take off the cable connected to the negative battery terminal. Lift the vehicle and place it safely on jackstands after which the splash shields are removed. Drain the cooling system, reusing and saving the coolant in case it is in fairly new condition and relatively new. Go ahead to take out the battery cooling duct and the engine
Cooling Fan Assembly. Disassemble pipes of the refrigerant inlet and outlet of the A/C Condenser by taking off the bolt or nut that has attached the two pipes into the block of the condenser and cover the lines to avoid contamination. Disassemble the
Radiator and condenser then on models with automatic transaxles, disconnect the lines of the transmission cooler to the radiator. Unscrew the radiator hook and lift the condenser off the radiator and store it with the line fittings facing up in case it is to be re-used. When putting in a new condenser, before fitting the condenser, the right kind of refrigerant oil should be poured into the condenser. Install the condenser to the radiator, lubricate new O-rings with refrigerant oil and insert them to refrigerant line fittings. Refrigerant lines should be reconnected to the condenser and the inlet and outlet nut tightened. Lastly, the removal is the opposite of installation, and evacuation, recharging, and leak testing done by the shop which emptied it.
