How to remove and install brake light switches on Mazda 3?

To take out the electrical connector at the switch, disconnect the connector, and then turn the switch 45-degrees clockwise to extract it. Installation is the opposite of removal and the brake light switch is self-adjusting. During the installation of the switch, one should not push hard on the brake pedal.
