How to properly inspect and replace Brake Rotor on Mazda 6?

Unscrew the lug nuts of the wheels, lift the car and place it on jackstands. Take off the brake caliper and do not disjoin the brake hose but just hang it away with a length of wire. Examine the surface of the Brake Rotor with the eye and note any score marks and any other damage, light scratches and shallow grooves are normal but any deep scoring will require the removal and refinishing of the rotor by an auto machine shop. Inspect both sides of the rotor and also make sure that when it is severely worn, then it is time to change it. In case there is pulsating during the braking, this is a sign of rotor runout. To measure the runout invert the lug nuts and insert a dial indicator approximately 1/2-inch above the outer rim of the rotor by positioning the indicator to zero position and then turning the rotor. The reading must not be above the allowable runout limit; otherwise, it will have to be refinished. Whichever the reading, resurfacing is suggested to produce a smooth finish and flat surface to remove the effect of the brake pedal. Unless glazing off, wipe out any glaze on the surface with swirling movement using emery cloth or sandpaper. Machining of the rotor should not be made below the set minimum thickness, stamped or cast onto the inside of the rotor and carefully checked using a micrometer. Unfasten the screws holding the rotor to the hub and remove the rotor, followed by removing the caliper mounting bracket and lug nuts in case they are reattached. When the rotor is off wire-brush the back side that attaches to the wheel hub and remove any rust or dirt on the hub face. Place small dots of high temperature anti-seize around the circumference and raised centre part of the hub. Install and screw the rotor into place on top of the threaded studs, install the rotor retaining screws, screw them tight, and reinstall the caliper mounting bracket and caliper and connect the bolts to the appropriate level of torque. Install the wheel, drop the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to a torque of the required level. Press the brake pedal several times to make the brake pads contact the rotor, and only in case of disconnection of the brake hose, it is necessary to bleed it. It is important to inspect how the brakes are working properly before getting the vehicle on the road, and in case new or refinished rear rotors have been carried out, check and adjust the parking brake.
