In case the instrument cluster is changed, it needs to be coded with a special scan tool and thus it is better to take the vehicle to a dealer service department or a good repair shop furnished with the specific tool of coding. Start by unplugging the cable on the negative battery terminal. Then, in another step, one releases the tilt wheel lever and lowers the steering wheel to the lowest position then removes the steering column cover. Then remove the instrument cluster trim panel, remove the mounting screws of the instrument cluster. Slowly remove the instrument cluster on the instrument panel and unconnect the electrical connections. The cluster should be put down with the gauges facing upward to avoid the possibility of the grease in the meters leaking and thus coating the face of the gauges. Installing is on the reverse sequence of uninstalling.
