In order to change the front wiper motor, you have to begin by removing the wiper arm nuts and noting the location of the wiper arms on their own shafts before removing both the arms. Then remove the cowl panel, unhook the electrical connector into the wiper motor and unscrew the two mounting bolts to remove the wiper motor and link assembly. Take a good care to remove the linkage of the motor crank arm and then remove the nut that holds the crank arm to the motor shaft. Align the crank arm with the motor shaft and loosen it then disconnect it and then loosen the two motor mounting bolts to remove the motor out of the bracket. On the motor on the rear wiper, the first step is to disconnect the cable at the negative battery terminal, the next step is to loosen the nut on the arm and mark the position of the arm before removing it. Then remove the liftgate trim panel, remove the electrical connector to the wiper motor, and remove the mounting bolts in order to remove the wiper motor out of the liftgate. The two motors are reinstalled in the same order as they were removed.
