In order to take away the oil pan, it is mandatory to detach the battery negative cable, and then lift the front of the vehicle and hold it standing firmly on jackstands. Empty the engine oil, withdraw the torque stopper assembly, the right front, and the inner front panel. Removal Disconnect the front exhaust pipe, attach an appropriate lifting device to lift the engine weight off the number 3
Engine Mount, and unbolt and remove the mount. The second step is to remove the flywheel/torque converter driveplate cover and the oil pan bolts. Lift the front of the engine, and then loosen the seal of the oil pan gasket by inserting a screw driver between the oil pan, and the block, and then turn the front part of the oil pan to the left and pull it out of the engine. Clean the oil pan by washing with solvent, and washing the contacts of the oil pan and engine block. Installation:Apply a 1/4-inch bead of RTV-type sealant to the contact surface of the oil pan, install the oil pan, and install the retaining bolts, screwing them to the recommended tightness. The rest of the installation is in the reverse order of the removal, once installed, pour the engine with the given quantity and quality of the oil, start the engine, and examine whether it leaks.
