In the installation and removal of the radiator in both Pickup and MPV and Navajo models, the first step is to drain the cooling system, and it is important to use a container with a seal to ensure that pets do not get access to the ethylene glycol antifreeze which is lethal. In the case of Pickup and MPV, take out the fresh air duct, separate the upper and lower radiator hose, and the coolant reservoir hose. When fitted with an automatic transmission, looseness the cooler lines, then unscrew the fan shroud and fan, but be careful not to put the fan on its side where there is a fan clutch. Un screw and take off the radiator, and put the new radiator in place against the support and open the mounting bolts. Install the hoses and cooler lines back in place, the fan and the shroud, and refill the cooling system with the correct coolant, and then run the engine to check for any leaks. In the case of the Navajo, drain the cooling system, empty overflow lube in the coolant recovery bottle, and radiator, as well. Unless provided with it, disconnect the transmission cooling lines, unbolster the shroud off the top and place it out of the way of the radiator and then disconnect the upper and lower hoses. When a radiator is to be changed, ensure that radiator is removed by unbolstering the radiator or on the upper part and then install the radiator by putting the radiator in opposite sequence by filling up the cooling system and testing it on leakages.
