The evaporative emission control system also has the vapor or carbon canister, which is found at the right back of the engine compartment. The canister should be clogged or with liquid fuel that can be noted by smell or excessive weight, and then servicing is required. To check, take off canister and blow into the air vent on the bottom, this will indicate that it is operating well by passing air through the fuel vapor inlet and the lack of liquid fuel. In case of replacement, the entire canister has to be changed because it cannot be disintegrated. The evaporative emission control system might require further testing.
