Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and place it securely on jackstands before removing the wheels. Detach the tie-rod end from the
Rack And Pinion, then remove the jam nut and outer Rack and Pinion Boot clamp. Cut off and discard the Rack and Pinion Boot inner retaining ring, then take off the Rack and Pinion Boot. Slide a new retaining ring onto the inner end of the new Rack and Pinion Boot and install it onto the end of the rack and pinion, ensuring the Rack and Pinion Boot isn't twisted before tightening the retaining ring. Finally, install the outer Rack and Pinion Boot clamp and tighten it, followed by the installation of the tie-rod end jam nut and the tie-rod end.
