Unscrew the lug nuts on the wheels, uplift the front part of the vehicle and place it on jack stands. Use the parking brake to ensure that the rear wheels do not roll off the jack stands and then remove the wheel. Make a mark on the association of the tie-rod end with the threaded section of the tie-rod in order to reassemble the toe-in setting. Take out the cotter pin and loosen the castellated nut in the tie-rod end ball joint stud, then part the tie-rod end with a puller, and make sure the nut is not stripped off as it may violently separate the parts. Take out the nut and disattach the tie-rod end to the
Steering Knuckle, and unscrew the tie-rod end of the tie-rod. When the tie-rod end has been taken out, examine the steering gear dust boot and replace it, in case it is torn or worn.
