For models from 2007 and earlier, first remove the front
Bumper cover, and then if equipped, remove the grille mounting nuts. To uninstall it, you need to press down on the tabs to release the radiator grille clips around the edge. After that, take out the grille by pulling it out. Finally, you can do the reverse of the removal to install it back. From the 2008 to the 2012 model years, just take off the front bumper cover. In Mariner, push out each of the twelve grille clips, then remove the grille from the bumper cover. Installation is the reverse of removal. In order to separate the grille from the bumper cover, the two screws, pinch nuts and retaining clips have to be removed. Installation is the reverse of removal. Remove the upper air deflector cover and the hood release safety latch, then remove the upper radiator grille support bracket, unscrew the retaining nuts and remove the upper radiator grille. Installation is the reverse of removal from 2013 and Newer models.. To remove the lower grille, pry up the bottom pushpin securing fastener, reach behind the grille's sides to unsnap the retaining tabs, and remove the lower radiator grille, which is reinstalled the opposite way.
