How to remove and install a thermostat on 1990 Mazda B2200?

In order to remove and install a thermostat, it is important that you have the jiggle pin facing upwards. Turn off the drain coolant and the hoses, unscrew the thermostat and the housing. Wipe surfaces, replace a new gasket and thermostat with jiggle pin up, and tighten bolts. Connect hoses again and fill the cooling system, checking any leakages.
