  A: The components can be removed by first disclogging the negative cable of the battery. Then undo the timing belt, empty the engine oil and remove the oil pan. Remove the oil pump pickup tube in the oil pump body using an unbolt, dislodge the crankshaft gear and key on the crankshaft nose by hand. Take time to remove the oil pump assembly out of the engine by not damaging the crankshaft or the aluminum pump housing and never make attempts to take the front oil seal off with the pump still in place. Then remove the oil pump and with the pump body held on a bench, punched and hammered at the back of the oil seal. Installation To install, cleanse the seal outer surface and also clean the housing surface and apply a little sealant to the outer edge of the seal. Insert the seal into the housing opening and push it inside with a socket or pipe, the outer diameter of which has a slightly smaller diameter than the seal does. Wipe the engine block and pump body surfaces off. fit a new gasket to the oil pump to the engine block. Lastly, install the other parts that were removed, in reverse sequence.
