How to remove and install the steering column on 2006 Mazda 6?

In order to take out the steering column, position the car in a straight position and de-connect the battery. Removal of steering wheel and column covers, taping of airbag clockspring and disconnecting of multi-function switch. Take off fasteners, label the U-joint and lower the column. Installation: To install, insert the column and screw the fasteners. The assistant comes in handy in this process.
