How can Axle Shaft Seal be replaced without removing the transaxle on Mazda 6?

Oil leaks frequently occur due to wear of the Axle Shaft Seals, and replacement of these seals is relatively easy since the repair can be performed without removing the transaxle from the vehicle. Axle Shaft Seals are located at the sides of the transaxle, where the driveaxles are attached. If leakage at the Axle Shaft Seal is suspected, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands; if the Axle Shaft Seal is leaking, lubricant will be found on the sides of the transaxle, below the seals. Remove the driveaxles, then use a screwdriver or prybar to carefully pry the Axle Shaft Seal out of the transaxle bore. If the Axle Shaft Seal cannot be removed with these tools, a special oil seal removal tool, available at auto parts stores, will be required. Using a large section of pipe or a large deep socket, slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the Axle Shaft Seal, as a drift, install the new Axle Shaft Seal by driving it into the bore squarely and ensuring it is completely seated. Coat the Axle Shaft Seal lip with transaxle lubricant before installing the driveaxle(s), taking care not to damage the lip of the new Axle Shaft Seal with the inboard splines of the driveaxle.
