How to replace the window motor and window regulator assembly on Mazda 6?

To replace the power window motor, first disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, then remove the door trim panel. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator motor and secure the window in place with tape. Remove the three regulator motor mounting screws and take out the motor, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the regulator assembly, begin by removing the door trim panel and the front door speaker, followed by the door glass. If the vehicle has power windows, remove the power window motor. Then, take off the regulator mounting nuts, insert one hand through the speaker hole to rotate the window regulator drum housing clockwise from the inside, and disconnect the tabs from the door module. Remove the window regulator through the speaker hole, install the new regulator through the same hole, and ensure the drum housing locks into the door module while preventing the cable from un-spooling. Finally, tighten the regulator mounting nuts or bolts securely, with the remainder of the installation being the reverse of removal.
