To make sure that the brake parts are properly inspected and replaced, it is only necessary to clean the brake hose thoroughly. Inspect all the flexible hoses on any swelling, cracking or brittle pieces and replace them. Search to see whether hoses rubbing against other parts, and in case of being shiny or scuffing, seek where the contact was made, and correct the condition. In case the hose has been scuffed it should be changed. Check brake pipes on any damage due to corrosion or dents and ensure that all of them are joined without leakage or thread wear. In tearing off hoses and pipes, loosen the flare nut at the joint before taking off the retaining clip, and on joining fittings, put in the retaining clip, then tighten the flare nut. Installation should not involve any twisting of hoses, especially those attached to front calipers or
Wheel Cylinders and also make sure that they do not come into contact with other parts at any position in the wheel. Installation: install with following specified torques: 16-19 ft. lbs. with flexible hose-to-caliper or wheel cylinder connections and 10-15 ft. lbs. with flare nuts. Lastly, do not forget to bleed the system when opening any brake line.
