Mazda Center Link

Mazda Center Link provides precise steering response by serving as the solid bridge through which every turn of the wheel is sent directly to each of the front steering arms without any delay. Mazda has established a reputation for feisty handling since its first model in 1931, and drivers continue to experience the same in Mazda models influenced by the Kodo design language and powered by efficient Skyactiv engines and protected by i-Activsense assistive features that monitor lanes and control cruise speeds. The company puts its i-Activ AWD through its paces in difficult terrain, is on a quest for electric and mild hybrid technology to improve your commute, and is always balancing smart features with that fun factor of making a road trip memorable. Thanks to this attention to harmony between driver and machine, every mechanical part must operate with clarity and power. That job is taken up by the Center Link, which is located inside the steering assembly and is a solid steel rod that joins the pitman and idler arms to ensure that both wheels track together under load. Unlike hydraulic or electronic helpers, the Center Link uses direct mechanical action, so the feedback is immediate and there are still few parts to fail. Its rigid construction resists flex during hard cornering or rough pavement, which keeps the alignment true and steering effort consistent across the entire Mazda range. By combining reliable simplicity and rugged durability, the Center Link serves the dynamic personality that defines Mazda vehicles.

You'll get great performance and real durability when you pick genuine OEM Center Link. Mazda builds these using high-quality materials and official factory methods to ensure they hold up mile after mile. You deserve that Mazda reliability without the headache of cheap knockoffs. Mazda Center Link Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and install the component at Center Link while ensuring proper torque specifications on Mazda B2000?
    A:
In order to install and remove the component, it is necessary to first support and raise the front end using jackstands. The second step is to loosen the tie rod, pitman arm and idler arm center link. To install, reverse the steps that have been made during removal and make sure all the nuts are tightened to the recommended torque: in models between 1972 and 1975 all of the nuts should be tightened to 28 ft. lbs., on models between 1976 and 1984 all the nuts should be tightened to 58 ft. lbs., on models between 1986 and 1989 all the nuts should be tightened to 43 ft. lbs.
