Checking the fan To test the fan, first unscrew the negative battery cable and shake the fans back and forth manually to test the bearing play. Turn the blades by hand when cold, it must turn freely. Checks: Check the clutch assembly, check the bi-metal spring to determine whether it is deformed or not, and check whether there is a lot of fluid leakage, and also examine whether there is leakage of grease on the exit, and replace the fan clutch accordingly.
