The first thing to do is to loosen the lug nuts, lift the front part of the car, and then stand it on jack stands to take the wheel out. Use parking brake and stop the rear wheels so that they do not roll. Thereafter, take off the wheel and the hub nut. Next, unscrew the caliper and hang it by using a wire then take off the caliper bracket and brake disc. Continue and loosen the strut-to-knuckle nuts and bolts but do not drive out the bolts. Uncouple the ball joint of the control arm with the steering knuckle and pull out the drive axle of the hub, which is suspended by wire to avoid breaking the inner CV joint. Hammer the knuckle and push out the two strut-to-knuckle bolt holes with a soft-face hammer after which steering knuckle assembly is removed off of the strut. Should the hub or hub bearing need replacement, the hub/knuckle assembly should be pressed out using special tools by taking it to a dealer or repair shop. To install it, place the knuckle into the strut and attach the two bolts and nuts and do not tighten them. Install the drive axle in the hub and attach the control arm to the steering knuckle. Install the brake disc, caliper mount and caliper by screwing the strut-to-knuckle nuts to the required torque. Lastly, screw the hub nut to the required torque, fit the wheel, reduce the vehicle and screw the lug nuts to the required torque.
