Start with discharging the refrigerant and recovering them by a qualified repair center. Take off the negative cable of the battery. Disconnect the drivebelt of the A/C Compressor. Spin the rear wheels to ensure that the vehicle does not roll, jack up the front section at least one foot and put it on jackstands. Take off splash shield and air guide panels under the front of the car. Unscrew the refrigerant lines and compressor electric connector, unbolt the A/C Compressor and lift it out of the car. In case of installing a new compressor or rebuilt compressor, observe the instructions given concerning the correct amount of refrigerant oil to be added prior to installation. Installation is in the opposite of the removal, make sure that the compressor mounting bolts are connected tight and also use new O-rings that match refrigerant type used in your system, lubricating them with the refrigerant oil before you install. Lastly, get the system emptied, recharged, and leak checked by the shop that emptied it.
