Air filter is housed in a compartment on right front engine side. In order to access it and remove it, loosen the bolts or clips that hold the air filter cover to the box and then raise the cover and remove the air filter element. Examine the outside of the filter, and in case it is not clean, change it but in case it is merely moderately dusty it may be reused by blowing it out in the reverse, blowing backwards to forward with compressed air. As it is a pleated paper type filter, it neither can be washed nor oiled and in case it cannot be washed to satisfaction it should be discarded and replaced. When the cover is not on, it is always important to ensure that you do not drop anything into the housing, neither should you drive the vehicle without the air filter because it would cause unnecessary engine wear and even cause fires. Clean the inside of the housing with a wet cloth, insert the new filter in the housing and make sure that it fits in the correct position, and then replace the cover to the cover in the same order of taking them out.
