The second point is to raise the front of the car and make it stand on jackstands and remove the two front wheels. Then undo the cotter pins and nuts so that the Tie Rod Ends are no longer connected to the Steering Knuckles. In models that are power steered, remove the switch, the fluid lines, wrap the rags around them to absorb any fluid. Then, remove the retaining bolts and remove the rack and pinion assembly using the left wheel well.
