Lower the window completely and release the trim panel and all related equipment. Tease the plastic water shield from the top left corner of the door. Place some rags or old newspaper into the door cavity under the door handle assembly. This will prevent any parts or tools from falling, if accidentally dropped, to the bottom of the door. Detach the push rod from the outer handle assembly, which is secured by a plastic locking clip that you must pry away from the rod. Unfasten the two attaching nuts at the outer ends of the handle while supporting it on the outside of the door and remove it. In order to install, the studs on the outer handle are pushed through the holes of the door and attached to the two nuts. Join the push rod to the locking clip and then remove the rags or newspaper from inside the door, and push the water shield back into place. Ensures the outside handle operates correctly and fits the trim panel with its related components.
