The two ignition coils are attached to the left fender panel, just behind the battery, but seeming shallow in depth when in actuality are longer as they are provided with a recessed design. Start by disconnecting the negative cable to the battery, then the wires of the positive and negative terminals of each coil. The negative coupers are designed with wiring couplers which can easily be disconnected whereas the positive ones have a lock nut which requires softening to remove the wire. To reinstall the wires, it is better to place a code on small pieces of tapes. The second thing is to take away the high tension leads in the middle of each of the coils and loosen the bracket which holds the bolt in the middle of the bracket between the two coils. Wring the coils carefully out of the fender panel and the bracket and examine them - looking especially at the high tension lead towers and terminals of the wire. Installation To install it, put the coils in the bracket again and fit them through the fenderwell with the bracket bolt and then reconnect the high tension leads and other wires using the identification tape as a guide to their correct locations.
