    A:
    The windshield and side window are glued and require special tools and sealant to remove and install, it can be a messy operation so one should be careful when doing it or the glass and surrounding paint will be damaged quickly. A factory dealer or a competent auto glass shop may do the work, which is possibly a benefit. Start by taking off the wiper arms, interior mirror and all the trims and garnishings around the windshield. Make sure that the paint surrounding the windshield was more recently polished or waxed with a high-quality polish or wax. Use adhesive tape on the painted areas to cover up the areas with a tape that is double the thickness further to the windshield molding. Take a sheet of plastic or any related material that can be used as a shield to pull the molding off the glass using a curved object. Use a small hole in the sealant and run a piece of piano wire through it and loop the ends of the wire round handles to saw through the sealant around the glass in a long sawing motion. An interior window is opened so as to release pressure in the car before the windshield is lifted in place and pressed lightly to squeeze the sealant and create an attachment. The sealant that oozes out should be wiped off and contacts must be made properly all round with more sealant being laid in places of poor contact. The sealant must be left to cure without interruption in 5 hours in 68-o F (20-o C) or 24 hours in 41-o F (5-o C) and the sealant should be rechecked in case of any probable leakage. Lastly, the mold may be clipped in and the interior mirror and all the trims and garnishes fitted back again.
