In order to take off the sunroof, it is necessary to move the sunshade to the very back position and close the glass sliding panel completely. The second thing to do is to remove the left, right and lower trim covers on the perimeter of the sunroof and then remove the installation nuts on the sliding sunroof panel and the lower panel. The sliding panel is removed by pushing it into the inside of the vehicle. Close out the sunshade completely, with the handle of the manual operation, and adjust the sunshade to the rear to an approximate distance of 0.19-0.39 inch (5-10 mm). With a pry tool, raise the sunshade stopper on the back of the cable holder, remove the stopper and then slide the sunshade all the way towards the front. Turn the handle to the full opening of the lower panel keeping sunshade fully closed. Partly open the sunshade, take off the set plate cap and pull the sunshade out of the set plate notch to get it out of the vehicle. To install it, be sure to install the slide panel to the lower panel and tighten the mounting screws securely and then set the plate cap and the trim panel around it. Lastly, test the sunroof and ensure it works properly and adjust accordingly.
