In order to reach the taillight housing, begin by popping out the plastic push pins on each side of the trunk panel and pushing out the panel. In the case of liftgate models, the service hole cover of the liftgate trim panel is the only part that should be removed to get access. Then, unfold the trunk floor carpeting mat, remove the trunk side push pins that are flexible trunk side trim panel, which covers the taillight housing and wheel housing and then pull off and reattach the flexible trunk side panel, but do not leave the trunk side panel folded too long or it would become permanently deformed. Unscrew the electrical connections of the housing of taillight and then unscrew the three nuts attached to the housing of the taillight and remove the housing. To take out the back-up light housing with the trunk lid trim panel, or simply the cover over the service hole in the case of liftgate models. Unplug the electrical connector on the back-up light bulb socket, unscrew the mounting nuts and unscrew the housing out of the trunk lid. Both housings are fitted in the opposite manner of dismantling.
