To disassemble the rear wiper switch on the Navajo models, one has to first disconnect the negative battery cable, then loosen the two screws holding the ashtray, to remove the ashtray. The second step is to loosen the retaining clips of the instrument cluster finish panel, un-snap and detach the mounting bezel that houses the rear wiper switch and loosen the electrical lead of the switch. Push the switch off the mounting bezel on the connector side until the mounting clips come apart. To install, wire it up and mount the switch into the instrument panel then install the instrument cluster finish panel then mounting the ashtray by screwing the two mounting screws. Lastly, rejoin the negative battery cable and ensure that the switch functions. On 1994-95 MPVs, the first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable but then a small prying tool is used to take the trim panel off the front edge of the instrument cluster hood. Unscrew the three screws on the underside of the trim panel, and two screws on the underside of the bottom of the hood assembly. Carefully separate the instrument cluster hood assembly off the dashboard to disconnect the switches on either side back of the instrument assembly and then remove the mounting screws to part the rear wiper and washer switch on the left side of the cluster hood. Installation involves installing the rear wiper and washer switch by attaching it to the cluster hood and screwing in the mounting screws, attaching the assembly to the dashboard and attaching the wiring harness connectors. Installment Position instrument cluster hood assembly onto the dashboard, attach and fix the five mounting screws, and mount trim panel cover. Lastly, rejoin the negative battery cable and ensure that the switch functions.
