How to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and drain the cooling system for a Water Pump on 2008 Mazda Tribute?

Break negative battery. Drain cooling system. Unclamp direct drivebelt pulleys with a loosener. On some models lift vehicle, take off wheel and shield, then pulley. Unscrew pump mounting bolts, remove pump, clean threads and mating surfaces, put in new pump/ gasket, refill, reconnect battery, start engine and leak check.
