How to disconnect and remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder and Trunk Lid Latch on Mazda 6?

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and remove the trunk lid trim panel. Rotate the trunk lid actuator rod mounting clip and disconnect the rod from the trunk lid key lock cylinder assembly, then disconnect the electrical connector from the lock cylinder if equipped. Remove the mounting nuts and maneuver the lock cylinder out from the trunk lid, with installation being the reverse of removal. Next, disconnect the actuator rod from the trunk lid lock cylinder and the electrical connector from the trunk lid latch. Remove the latch mounting bolts and take out the latch, with installation again being the reverse of removal.
