Mazda B2000 Sway Bars Parts and Q&A

  • Q:
How to remove and install the Sway Bars for 4WD on Mazda B2000?
    A:
The sway bars should be removed and installed by first lifting and putting the front end on jackstands. The clamps between the sway bars and the frame are next unbolted, and then the sway bars are unbolted off of the lower Control Arms, making sure that all the bushings, washers and spacers remain in place. Examine every component of the part for wear or damage, and replace any component that seems suspicious. Installation: To install, undo the process of removal, ensuring that all fasteners are loosely screwed and then tightened to specifications with the wheels on the ground. Precisely, tighten the clamp bolts to 19 ft. lbs. and tighten the bolts of the end link until 14 mm (0.55 in.) of thread appears above the locknut.
