In order to install and remove the components, it is necessary to first raise the front end on jackstands and remove the wheels. Inspect the brake rotor by feeling around the bearing and ensuring that there is no play, any form of play should be removed. Take the caliper out of position, then loosen locking hub, snapring, spacer, set bolts, bearing set plate and lock nuts. Cautiously remove the plate and the hub, taking the washer and bearing with it, and remove the inner bearing and oil seal with a wood driver. Wipe the bearings and the inside of the hub with nonflammable solvent, and then leave it to air dry. Check the bearings, wear, or damage, and replace them where required and renewing the bearing races as a set may be a good idea. To substitute the races, push them out of the hub and apply fresh grease on the races and then press the races in place until they are firmly seated. Clean grease should be spread into the inside of the hub and in each bearing, and they should be filled to the brim. Install Inner bearing and seal then hub on spindle, then outer bearing and washer. Install the set brackets, plate, and locking hub, caliper, and lastly wheels. To adjust, lift and hold up the front end once more, then take off the wheels and make sure that there is no bearing play. Provided they have been identified, then remove the caliper, locking hub, tighten the locknut and rotate the hub to fit the bearings. We will loosen the locknut to the point where it can be turned by hand, fit a pull scale on a wheel lug, and check the bearing rotational effort, and set the locknut to specification before reinstalling the set bolts, snapring, locking hub, caliper and wheels.
