Disconnect electrical connector in the crank angle sensor. Measure the ohm between the designated terminals with an ohmmeter and determine both resistance of crank angle sensor with pin designation and resistance values according to the charts provided. In case the resistance is not as stated, change crank angle sensor. Either eliminate the
Distributor or disconnect the electrical connector to the sensor, which has not been done already. Label the bottom of the sensor casing and the face cover so that it is aligned properly in reassembling. Unscrew the crank angle sensor locknut and directly reach up to the crank angle sensor and pull it up. To install, in line with the matching marks of the sensor housing and driven gear, ensure the mark on sensor housing remains aligned with the pointer. Install the crank angle sensor into the distributor making sure that the marks on the housing base and the front cover are in place and adjust the locknut and electrical connector carefully, then fit the electrical connector and locknut loosely. Adjust the ignition timing and locknut tighten it.
