In 2005 and earlier models, the dash panels are comprised of the center trim panel and instrument cluster bezel. Removal of the center trim panel To take out the center trim panel, pry out the left air duct louver, the screw in the middle on the left louver and the bottom screws. Seize the center panel and pull it outwards, and unplug the electrical connector and remove the panel. In the case of the instrument cluster bezel, the screws on the underside of the bezel are removed, and then the driver side airbag module, steering wheel, and column are removed and the bezel comes out to take out the clips. In the models as of 2006 and beyond, a trim removal tool needs to be used to push the side panel out of the end of the dash, being sure that it fits back in once it is installed. The same thing can be said about the left vent trim panel, which also should be easily taken off, and then should be placed back. The instrument cluster trim panel has the retaining clips that must be pried open prior to removal. When installing the side walls, make sure to pry them off of the center panel unit and towards the back of the car, and correctly engage them upon installation. The knee bolster trim panel can be released by pulling the knee bolster trim panel back and down, whereas removing mounting screws is required once the knee bolster trim panel is removed. The console panel entails the detachments of the
Center Console and the side walls, and then dragging the panel to the back and disconnection of electrical connections. The gloves box is detachable and this is done by twisting and pulling out the stoppers followed by disengagement of the hinge pins. With the center panel unit, remove the knee bolster trim panel, knee bolster, side walls and glove box, remove the retaining screws and disassemble the antenna lead and electrical connectors. Removing the side walls, glove box and center panel unit followed by removing retaining screws and pulling forward the panel in a straight line is required of the right vent trim panel. Finally, with regards to the switch panel, take off the left panel, left vent trim panel, knee bolster trim panel and knee bolster, undo the hood release lever, loosen the retaining screws, and undo the electrical connectors.
