To replace the blower motor resistor, begin with the trim panel below the glove box, which should be removed in 2007 and older models, or the entire glove box which should be removed in 2008-2012 models. In 2013 and subsequent models, the accelerator pedal position sensor has to be removed first. Unscrew the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor and remove the mounting screws, and then remove the resistor of the housing. In 2013 and subsequent models, the blower motor resistor is found on the driver side, and the electrical connectors are disconnected, then their mounting screw removed as the resistor is pulled out. Removal is opposite to the installation process. In the case of the blower motor, in 2007 and earlier models, the lower trim panel is removed, the electrical connector is unplugged, and the mounting screws are removed to remove the motor. On 2008- 2012 models, to remove the glove box and trim panel, disconnect the wiring, loosen the vent duct clips, and remove the motor which operates the blower counterclockwise. To install the battery, in the 2013 and subsequent models, disconnect the negative battery terminal, then pull off the accelerator pedal position sensor and the glove box and end trim panels. Disassemble the electrical connections to the Body Control Module, unscrew the BCM, loosen the harness with the clips still in it, and (where applicable) the front lighting module. To take out air inlet duct assembly, unscrew the actuator electrical connector and torx screws. On the driver side footwell, loosen the electrical connector to the blower motor, using the assistance of an assistant, loosen the retaining clip and rotate the blower motor housing, so as to pull it out on the passenger side. Removal is opposite to the installation process.
