In order to install and remove the front washer pump motor, it is necessary to make sure that the washer fluid reservoir is full to prevent the pump destruction. Loose the electrical plug and hose of the reservoir and, where applicable, the coolant overflow hose. Take out the screws attaching the reservoir, and remove it out of the vehicle, and drain out what is contained in it. With a small pry tool take the pump retaining ring out and with a pair of pliers take the motor and seal out. To install, wipe the pump chamber, lubricate the pump seal, and make sure the motor fits correctly in the reservoir notch by pressing. Install retaining ring, reattach reservoir assembly, reattach hoses and the electrical harness, fill up the reservoir and Leaks. To fit into the reservoir, the washer pump needs to have the mounting screws removed, hoses, the electrical connector and the reservoir removed. Empty, with care and caution remove the pump, and examine the rubber grommet. Installation requires grommet, lubricate and firmly fit the pump. Install reconnect hoses, and then attach the reservoir, screws, wiring harness, fill reservoir and check that it functions. On the Navajo models, to disassemble the rear washer pump motor leave the left side rear quarter trim panel, unscrew the filler hose, and unplug the motor connector. Unscrew the reservoir, pop out the pump and examine the seal. To install, lubricate the seal, seat the pump, attach the washer hose, place the reservoir, screw, attach connector, connect filler hose, fill with fluid and test. Install the trim panel again using the given steps. To change and install the battery in MPV models, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the mat set end plate and right side rear trim panel, disconnect the washer fluid hose and wiring harness and remove the reservoir. Screws are loosened to take out the rear washer motor after emptying it. Installation To install, screw the motor, attach fluid hose and wiring harness, tighten the mounting screws, reconnect the battery cable, fill the reservoir, verify that it works and reassemble the trim panel and mat set end plate.
