To fit and take off the fender, first clean all the dirt on the mounting screws, bolts, and nuts. The second step is to remove headlamp door, headlamp assembly, side marker lamp or parking lamp assembly depending on the model. Unscrew and take out the bolt or bolts (usually in the inside of the car) connecting the back of the front fender with the windshield cowl. Then take off the upper bolts that hold the fender on the inter-body. Relax the lugs of the wheel a little, jack up the body and safely place it and remove the wheel and the tire set. Go ahead and take out the bolts which hold the fender brace to the body, and which hold the fender to the radiator support and the tender apron ( inner splash shield ). Another thing is to remove the bolts that held the fender to the lower rocker sill, making sure that there are no other mounting bolts. Installation To install, place the fender and loosely fit the mounting bolts, making the bottom of the fender fit in line with the sill of the rocker and attaching the mounting bolts. Line the upper fender end to the cowl then tighten the bolts and replace the other parts.
