In order to change the front heater core, begin by removing the cable in the negative terminal of the battery and emptying the cooling system. The instrument panel in a passenger compartment should then be removed, the ends of the heater hoses should be unplugged and plugged into the heater core of the engine compartment. This is followed by the removal of the nuts and instrument panel stays, then the nuts that hold the heater case, and then will be necessary to get the case out of the car. The heater core is next detached directly off the heater case by unscrewing and drawing it out of the case. To install the cooling system, follow the steps in reversed order and refill the system. In the case of the rear heater core, start by simply disconnecting the cable with the negative terminal of the battery and emptying the cooling system, preserving the coolant should it be of good quality. Disassemble the driver seat, disconnect the hoses and electricity connection to the heater case, and then remove the bolts, which join the heater case and the floor and extract the part of the vehicle. Unbolt the case of the heater unit and cut it in two upper and lower halves in order to access the heater core and remove it. The process of installation is also in the opposite direction of this, so that the cooling system should be filled afterward.
