How to remove and install an Air Temperature Sensor and Mass Air Flow Sensor on Mazda MX-5 Miata?

In models with a vane-type airflow sensor which also has an integral IAT sensor, such as in 1993 and earlier, first disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor. Then you need to take out the air intake duct, air filter housing cover. Then remove the nuts to hold on to the airflow sensor into the filter housing cover and remove the sensor. Installation must occur in reverse sequence in order to complete the process.
