Unplug the cable of the negative battery terminal. Unscrew the lug nuts of the front wheel, lift up the vehicle and place it firmly on jackstands and take off the front wheel. You should take off the splash shield, inner fender splash shield, inner fenderwell, fasteners and the front part of the splash shield. It is possible that some of the models may have a front mud guard attached to the inner fenderwell, which must first be removed by removing three of the side mounting fasteners and one below. Take off front bumper cover. Remove headlight and side markers light assemblies. While standing in front of the fender, take out the mounting bolt in the side corner of the fender. Take out the windshield wipers. Unscrew the two bottom fender bolts; on certain models a side step molding may be over the top of these bolts, and this will have to be unscrewed by unscrewing its plastic fasteners and lifted back. Open the front door and take out the upper rear fender bolt out of the doorjamb. Unattach the fender upper bolts and then pick-up the fender, preferably with a helper to avoid damaging the adjacent body parts. The process of installing is the opposite of removing and in this process, one should ensure that there is a match between the fender and the hood and the front side of the door and then screw the bolts.
